“Roger, from the Côte d’Ivoire, transmitted a song to me that he sang as a child in the fields during harvest time. I looked for a vocal gesture which would correspond to this work-song. During my performance, the movements of my body accelerate effecting my voice which passes progressively from a scream to a whispered murmur.
